THE SETTING

Planet Earth in near future: Our old world is gone, swallowed by an endless ocean. What remains isn't a tragic wasteland, but a waterlogged playground. The commute is terrible, but the views are spectacular.

THE ASTRONAUT

Trained for the stars, stuck in the ocean: The astronaut drifts through a world that doesn't belong to him anymore. As a modern Robinson Crusoe, he is adapting to the apocalypse with a quiet, stoic dignity - and occasionally, an inflatable flamingo or other absurd relics of our past.

THE JOURNEY

What is he looking for? Not a way back, but a way forward. The astronaut’s journey is essentially a visual field guide on how to survive a crisis without losing your mind. He demonstrates that adaptation and a gentle sense of humor are the ultimate devices to weather any storm.
